Description and Uses
Propylene Glycol, C3H8O2, is an organic compound. It comes in several grades, and has various uses. It can be used as feedstock for production of polyester resins. In addition, it can also be used as humectant, solvent and preservative for food, tobacco, pharmaceuticals, and more. For industrial production, it can be used as an active ingredient in engine coolants and antifreeze.
