Description and Uses:

Vanillin, C8H8O3, is an organic compound used often as a flavoring agent and vanilla substitute in foods, beverages, pharmaceuticals and perfuming of rubbers and plastics. It has a distinct vanilla smell and appears as fine white crystalline powder. In the food and beverage industries, vanillin is most widely used in various confections such as ice cream, cake, chocolate, bread, biscuits and more.
