Description and Uses
Sorbic Acid is an organic compound primarily used as a food preservative. It is also effective in a wide variety of applications such as animal feed, and personal care products.
When used as a food preservative, sorbic acid inhibits the growth of mold, yeast and other microorganisms for shelf life stability. It is often used in foods such as cheese, dried fruit, yogurt, pet foods, dried meats, soft drinks, and baked goods.
